  • Who can sign up? 

 
DKV Home Care is available to EU officials and their spouses and children provided they are residents in Belgium. You need to be an Afiliatys member and no older than 69 years old (no older than 65 for the Exo option).
 
  • How do I sign up?

     

  1. Fill in and sign the application form.
  2. Complete a medical questionnaire for each person to be insured.
  3. Send us all documents by email to info@eurprivileges.com or by post to:

  • Is there an age limit to subscribe?

 
Yes you have to be no older than 69 to subscribe to this insurance. For the option Exo the entry age is limited to 65 years.
 
  • What is the Exo option?

 
Thanks to the Exo option, you will be exempted from payment of the DKV Home Care premium from the age of 65, in case of monthly allowance for residential care.
 
  • Do all family members need to sign up for the same option?

 
No. Each family member is free to choose the most convenient option for himself/herself.
 
  • Am I covered abroad?

The coverage is valid in the European Economic Area (EEA).
 
  • Can I pay the premium on a yearly basis?  

Yes, this is possible and even beneficial to you as it entitles you to a 3% discount. You can also pay your premium each month, each quarter or twice a year (2% discount). 
 
  • Can I pay by direct debit?    

Yes. Please send us the SEPA direct debit form by post. 
Important: please be informed that this is only valid for future payments.
 
  • What happens when the payment by direct debit fails?

In this case, you will have to pay the premium by a bank transfer. We will send you a request for payment at the beginning of the following month. 
 
  • When can I benefit from ‘care in kind’? 

You can benefit from ‘care in kind’ after a hospitalisation of at least 1 night, and for the number of hours specified in the selected plan option. 
 
  • What is considered as ‘care in kind’? 

By ‘care in kind’ is meant: non-medical support services at home such as homemaker, cleaning etc.
 
  • Can I choose my own care provider?

Support services can only be performed by a professional recognised by DKV.
 
  • How can I contact DKV to benefit from ‘care in kind’? How does it work?

DKV takes care of the organization, administration and the financial charges  associated with your care after at least 1 night hospitalisation. . 
 
Simply Ccontact DKV’s service @home by phone at +32 (0) 78 35 37 39 and communicate your registration number (policy number and number of the insured person on the policy). DKV’s professional staff will develop with you a care plan that answers your specific needs, for the number of hours specified in the option you selected.
                                            
  • How can I request the monthly allowance for home care or residential care?

 
In the event of a serious and sustained loss of autonomy you’ll receive a guaranteed monthly allowance for care give at home or residential care.
Here’s how you can request the monthly allowance:  
 
 
  1. Download the claim form. 
  2. Complete it and sign it. In case you wish to communicate new bank account details, please complete the section ‘Payment information’. 
  3. Submit the claim form together with one of the accepted certificatscertificates that in order to proves the serious and sustained loss of autonomy by email to claims083@eurprivileges.com or by post to:
